2013 Means Lots Color, Pattern, and Texture

What’s HOT this season?

Trends move much slower with furniture than they do in fashion. For understandable reasons, people don’t want to rotate furniture as often. However, as seasons pass, styles slowly change. This season we are seeing lots of color, pattern, and texture!

Warm, welcoming, vibrant colors activate a space and make a room feel more playful and fun. Hot colors we are seeing this season are emerald, citrus, and blues. People still love a neutral sofa with pops of color on pillows and accent chairs, but we are seeing more and more people liking sofas in the blue/green family. Colorful leather is HOT right now as well, especially in citrus green, orange, and turquoise. Layering color on top of color can really pump up a room’s personality and brightening things up by adding a pop of color to a neutral room with furniture is really in right now. If you would like to keep things a little more neutral gray is hot right now as well!

Texture is also a big trend that we are seeing this season. They bring richness and depth into a room and it’s a great way to add visual interest to a space.
